Allerdrops
What Are Allerdrops?
How Do Allerdrops Work?
  • Allerdrops work to prevent the allergic response, not simply react to it. When an allergic person's immune system detects the presence of allergens, it sends out its big guns-IgE antibodies-to attack. This starts a domino effect that continues with the body's release of histamines. Histamines soon join the action of IgE antibodies to cause symptoms like sneezing, watery eyes, itching, swelling, and difficulty breathing. Antihistamine medications inhibit histamine receptors, providing only temporary symptom relief.
  • Allerdrops gradually introduce controlled amounts of allergens to the body's immune system, much the same way vaccines introduce the live virus they're designed to protect against.. This allows the immune system to actively neutralize the allergens and recognize that they are not a threat. Eventually, the immune system stops fighting the allergens, IgE and histamine levels decline, and the allergies and their symptoms disappear altogether.
  • Most Allerdrops patients experience relief from their symptoms within months or sometimes weeks, and are allergy-free within 3 years of beginning treatment (compared to the standard 5 years required for injection therapy).
