- Allerdrops are precision-reformulated, FDA-approved allergy serums-the same substances used in allergy injections-mixed into allergy drops and taken under the tongue (known as sublingual immunotherapy) instead of via injection.
- Allerdrops are custom-formulated based on the results of each patient's IgE (immunoglobin E) blood test-the most accurate, quantitative allergy test available today-rather than the less precise, qualitative, 70-year old method of skin testing.
- Allerdrops are taken once a day, in the comfort of the patient's own home, and do not require weekly doctor visits. Patients will have their IgE levels checked periodically (every 8 months or so) so that precise adjustments can be made to their Allerdrops formulation as their allergen tolerance increases. When blood tests show that IgE is no longer present, treatment stops. Both treatment and testing are highly individualized for each patient's specific allergy condition.
